The Names of the Planets is a an illustrated guide to how the planets got their names made using HTML, CSS, and Skrollr. Skrollr is a parallax scrolling JS library that uses the browser's position on the page to animate object locations. The illustrations of the planets were made using photographic textures placed on vector objects. I also created separate vector illustrations based on the theme of each planet's name. The page detects the type of device and loads an alternate mobile version if one is using a phone or tablet. Visit a live demo here.
